I listen at the door to the stones an the walkway
Will he ever come back? I ask myself and pray
Is he gone forever or just for a while?
Is he finding happiness or walking a lonely mile?
His voice resonates in my brain
As I listen down the lane
Are those his feet upon the ground?
Has he decided to come around?
I wish he would phone of e-mail
Just something to let me know
That he is alright and misses me
And I can finally let him go
Oh, I miss him, I miss him so.
